System Recovery not Recognizing Hard Drive HELP

So to start from the top I recently attempted to change the password when my Asus laptop loads and when I put the password blank in BIOS it basically created some kind of default password that I couldn't find so I researched online and reset my motherboard y removing the CMOS battery. It worked only problem is that it launched a series of hard drive failures. at first I wasnt able to log into windows because a "error loading operating system' message would pop up. I've tried everything in bios to fix the issue but for some reason sometimes I could see my hard drive as a boot option and sometimes it wasn't displayed. So i recently tried to insert the windows 7 disc to try a solution I saw on the internet. Enter command prompt in system recovery options and type in bootrec /rebuildbdc after selecting the drive where windows was installed, only problem is that no hard drive was displayed(having a windows installed on it) so now I'm wondering what the heck is wrong with my hard drive...Is it somehow corrupt? I don't have the means to install it in another PC and i don't have the money at the moment to buy the required tools to verify if it is still functional. Can anyone please help me?? I have valuable info on the hard drive that I can't afford to lose and no like a fool I didn't back up my info in time so I really don't know how to fix my laptop without having to reformat the whole PC.... 🙁

It's quite possible that messing around with the laptop password(s), caused the HDD to password-protect itself. Which, if you don't know the password for the HDD, or cannot derive it somehow, means that you essentially have to junk it. Sorry. Make backups next time.

When I read this it makes me wonder if you have a hard drive/SSD combo or some sort of array that was reset when you reset the battery. What model is your laptop?
