I just bought a new computer system:

ECS K7S5A
AMD ATHLON 900
256 PC-2100 DDR
40GIG 7200RPM WD Harddrive
Sound Blaster Live 5.1
16X DVD LG
8x4x32x Sony

I installed Windows XP and everything went smothly .. But sometimes when I boot up, after detection, it sometimes displays a black screen .. Nothing happens after that .. Then I restart and it is fine ..

In Windows XP, sometimes it just hangs there waiting for 1 minute doing nothing, then it comes back to alive ..

Both of these happend randomly ..

I think it has do with the best proformance settings in ECS k7S5A that I set ? What does that do ? What settings it changes ?

How do I know what branch memory I have without taking my system apart ?

Also should Dram frequency set to 133 or 100 MHZ ? How about CPU Frequency ? 100 or 133 ?

Thanks,
