Well, I just got an i7 920, DFI LP UT X58-T3EH8, and 3x2GB Patriot 1066. I had been previously using a q6600, ASUS p5Q-deluxe and 4GB OCZ platinum PC2-8400. Been using 5850s.
Hi, I recently got an i7 920, DFI LP UT X58-T3EH8, and 3x2GB Patriot 1066 RAM and I've been having trouble with my motherboard, in that it won't post. I get the error code "88" which from what I've read means the BIOS is probably messed up and on DFI's site, it says that if the BIOS won't boot I should use their BioSecure Utility. Problem is, the link on their site doesn't work anymore, so I'm really hoping that someone here happens to have a copy of it lying around, since I can't seem to find it anywhere else.
Also, I saw that they sell BIOS chips on ebay, are these reliable and would that do it in case nobody has the program? I can't RMA the board, so I really don't have any other options. I've tried all kinds of troubleshooting methods and currently have just the mobo/cpu sitting on some cardboard with the 24 and 8 pin connectors attached.
