system powers on but does not post

Hi all,

I'm using my old motherboard (Asus Nforce 2 Ultra 400) to build a DVR. The system powers on with all fans but does not beep nor does it have any video output.

any tips guys? I can post complete specs if you think it would be helpful.

I used this mobo in my first build and never had this problem before. I've built two systems in fact and this problem has never come up.
 
update:

i fried my motherboard... that's why it didn't post

i forgot to put the standoffs on and when i powered up the board shorted out

i got a new board and its working
