My system just shuts off in the middle of a game or benchmark. I does run reliable without overclocking. Does this sound more like a lack of power issue w/ my Antec 430Watt PS or just to high of OC or too low of Voltage. ideas and edjucated opinions please. :)

Asus P5B-E w/ E6300
Raptors 36gb x2 Raid 1
Dual Optical Drivers
4 ThermalTake 80mm/92mm Tornado CPU
7800GT EVGA
Antec 430Watt True Power, newer model

Have CPU (1.86ghz) @ 3ghz. 1.385v in BIOS 1.328v in CPUZ
430 Bus
Corsair 444/12 @ 2.1v
GPU overclocked lightly

Power off or reboot?

If power off...yes it sounds like PSU...

If it reboots...it could be a couple different things...

1) make sure winxp is not set to automatically restart under fatal errors....you have to go into control panel>system>advanced tab>recovery tab> make sure automatic restart is UNCHECKED...

This could mask a BSOD which could either be memory related or show the OC is unstable.

2) IMO a 7800GT and an OC'd E6300 and system may be a hair too much.

3) restarts can be overheated components as well...check your temps...

Thanks Duvie. Yeah I have been changing settings around and it has in the past made high pitched lock ups and BSOD but lowering FSB a tad has brought it back to stable. Now I last upped my FSB v/ CPU v to try to hit higher stable OC and that's where I was getting about 3 straight power off's with no restart. My system usually does restart on it's own due to a BIOS setting but under these last power off's the system stayed off. I always thought if you had a good quality PSU, it would be enough for a system like mine. I will try some crazy uber model... :)

Thanks.
