I have a 1.4 GHZ athlon and Geforce2 PRO ,win2k, I have all the latest drivers and have the latest BIOS update for my a7m266, i have 256 pc2100 ddr. When I ran 3dmark on 640 480 16 bit , i got a horrible score of 1990. I know this is not nearly what it should be getting and i have no idea why my system is not performing up to its potential. I went thru the bios and i didnt really see any settings to change. Anyone know what the setting in the bios that says: Normal mode or turbo mode is ?

You can start tweaking the bios by setting it to Optimal or Optimum Performance setting. Usually this is a standard option on any Award Bios. Then you can start tweaking like setting the Dimm Module option to Turbo instead of Normal, Disabling the 1 WS on the PCI, AGP and also shadowing the System Bios and the Video Bios. Do bench for every change you make so you can tell if it's improving system performance or not.😎
