I liked their first album. very powerful stuff. they put a lot of passion into their songs and what they really feel about the things in their homeland.

System of a Down

I love S.O.A.D. Their first album "System of a Down," was the best, and I liked the fact that they made a song about the Armenian Genocide. "Toxicity," their second album, is also awesome. "Steal this Album" was good, but it was mainly B-side work. "Mezmerize" took some time getting into, but now I love it.

I would highly recommend System to anyone who likes music. Their albums take some time getting into, so don't put it aside after the first time you listen to them. They are an awesome band with an excellent sense of lyrics, rhythm, and a great amount of passion into their music. Being half Armenian also helps me support them even more. Listen to them! :)

The only album I didn't like was Steal this Album. But even that album had a few good songs...

Goin' to the party
Gonna have a real good time!!

La la la la la la la la la la!!!! ;)

Dancin' in the desert
Blowin' up the sunshine.....

I can't admit to *getting* them. I think they're definitely "out there". For example, in BYOB the bridges are AWESOME little riffs that are just bitchin' music to listen to........then the screaming & all the other crap I just don't get. When I want hard rock, I go hard rock. Screaming & all that other stuff, I dunno.

Lyrics are good......just rather the screaming parts were more "catchy" hard rock instead of "anxiety-attack" sounding metal riffs!

Why do we always settle for lies from the tablecloth???? :p

Exactly!!!! I don't understand why they had to ruin an awesome song by throwing in random screaming.
