System of a Down concert rocked.

The System of a Down concert last night kicked ass. It had the best lights / sound mix of any concert I've been to. The aura on stage was just awesome.

On a side note... the 2 opening bands were the worst bands I have ever heard. (that includes local bands, and high school bands for that matter)

Hella and The Mars Volta = teh suck

Maybe it's just not my type of music... but they were Nothing like System of a Down. Why would they even tour together?

Oh well.

I am sorry I was being mean. Yes, TMV and SOAD should not tour together as they are different genres of music...but I just cannot stand SOAD as they seem to have no talent and just annoy me.

The Mars Volta is pretty amazing, but I do prefer At the Drive In a bit more.

The problem with Mars Volta is they only have One song. During the whole set there was not beginning, middle end, or distinguishable lyrics. Not to mention their lead singer and lead guitarist were Napolean Dynamite wannabe's. System of a Down beat them around like a red-headed step child.

Hella and Mars Volta were the same genre. It was rock / electronica with absolutely no rhythm, beat, or continuity. Their songs dragged on for ~10-15min. a piece. Mars Volta was a lot better than Hella, but only because they mixed in some awesome solo flute action.

Then I think it's time for them to get a new image. And that's why they're opening for System of a Down and their name wasn't on the ticket. Sorry, I like electronica and new age music, but theirs sucked.
