Windows 7, firefox browser
Latest drivers, latest Flashplayer...etc

Every few minutes watching youtube or any flash vid, whole system locks up for a solid minute or so then resumes...along with every button..etc i have clicked on suddenly pops up. not just browser lockup, but entire system lockup...only happens watching flash video online, regardless of site

started about 3 days ago, extremely annoying, i have tried reinstalling firefx and flashplayer..nothing.
any fix?

Video card? I would try r-clicking on a flash video and disabling hardware acceleration. 10.6 added Flash acceleration to ATI and some videos lock up.

Flash is flash... not much you can do about that (on Winders).

7 is 7. I don't suppose you would consider switching OSs, just to watch flash vids.

That leaves, Firefox, which has become a slow, clumsy, bloated pig of a browser!

The "fix" is to install Google Chrome. You might want to give it a whirl...

And, don't load it full of extensions, so called, like Firefox users are inclined to do. :sneaky:
