What would be the optimal setting for AGP Aperture Size in bios? the options available are 8MB-->256MB

Also i set my generic PC100 RAM to run at 133MHz, CAS2, and Turbo DRAM timing. how would i know if something is wrong?

Lastly, my system continues to lockup after extended power down/inactive periods. i have looked and made sure no power managment feature are turned on in bios, what else could be causeing it? (this has been going on since before i messed with my RAM)

thanx

Akaz

***Edit*** i returned to original setting for my RAM and STILL the system locks up after extended inactivity, Any ideas???!!!

Aperture Size, 1/4 of your system Ram.

As for your lockups and all, probably it's because of the RAM that you overdid the settings. Try to disable the CAS2 and change the Turbo timing to normal, you should be better off there.

Set it to 1/2 or 1/4 the size of your RAM (64 MB).

I'd set the RAM settings in your bios back to normal. Generic PC100 memory doesn't usually run very well at CAS2.

The lockups on your machine could be a number of things -- including the wrong memory settings in the bios. Please provide more info on your system.

I am using PC-100 ram at host clock -33mhz, so I can o/c my Abit VT6X4
m.b. P3-600E at 840 mhz, Golden Orb, Geforce2 MX, 2 Panaflo 120mm.

When I tried to run the PC-100 ram at 133 mhz my system locked up like yours.

It might have been in my head ....but this K6-3 400 system I am using with 98SE was doing the same. It would go into extended sleep, and when I trie dot wake it, it had to be reboot.
Well, it seemed to clear itself up on it's own. Now it all works like a champ.
Is this possible?
