System "locking up" on the first bootup (windows 7)

What I mean by locking up is that it loads into windows, plays the sound and all, but then 2-3 seconds later it just gets stuck loading with the little circle mouse animation (using windows 7). You cant click anything or type anything, cant ctrl+alt+del either. So I have to press the reset button on my computer. When it boots in the second time it has no issues, everything starts up fine and windows acts as normal.

(BEFORE this started happening) What I should add is that I recently encountered, somehow, this malware/virus named "Tube Dimmer" I've never installed it or even heard of it. When I first saw it running in my tasks I was a bit curious of what that even is. So I looked it up and it turns out to be a major virus. Most virus/malware scanners also dont pick it up I read. And they were right, most of mine didn't. Until I tried malwarebytes. It found it, and deleted all of its connections and extensions such as other trojan droppers it installed on my computer. After that, it was gone for good. I even looked up other guides such as the manual way to remove it with the registry key and the hidden files. It's found nowhere in the key at all. And no where in the system at all. Its processes aren't there anymore either. It's gone.

Now jump back to what my first paragraph was talking about. This "locking up" began the day after. I really am at a loss here and I dont know what else to do. My computer runs completely normal on the second boot up, and it continues to. Until I shut it off for the night and turn it back on tomorrow. Can anyone help me out here for what it could be, or something I could check for to see what it could be?

Check the Windows System and Application logs in Event Viewer for failures - it sounds like there is some type of driver issue going on there (maybe a process hanging, etc).

time to re-format

looks like you're right. I just turned on my computer today, and now it continuously locks up on load in. The only thing I can get in is safe mode without locking up. Its probably a driver issue. At this point I can either re format, or if it was possible, find what is causing this and see if I can fix it. If there is ANY way I could go about fixing this and not formatting it would be good. If there isnt anyway, oh well.

Edit: Nevermind me asking help of how to format my system and reinstall it with no issues. I'm currently going to format my SSD from the windows disc, and then installing it. I'll see how this goes, crossing my fingers.

Sorry I am late to the party here, but I bet if you had looked at the startup tab in Msconfig, you would have found an entry pointing to some files related to that virus, especially if it is failing at exactly the same point every time.

Hope the reinstall goes well.
