was networking a win2k n win98se box

followed one of those sharing tutorials posted and did the following to win2k

added a user for the win98se box, added netbuei, added sharing of C drive.

after a reboot it wont boot up anymore!!!!, it'll come up on the win2k built on NT tech screen, with the starting up bar. it'll go about half way and then the mid blue bar stops moving.. , not the blue status bar.. although that too stops, but the blue bar in the middle with the crappy fade job between the dark n light blue.. that just totally stops moving.. so ya know its locked some how.

i can get into safe mode. i'm going into safe mode and changing it all back, cept ii cant get into the network properties to uninstall netbuei.

HELPP PLEASE.. i dont know enough about win2k. just installed it 2 weeks ago for the first time, did a clean install for the school year and i've already messed it up. please tell me it can be undone.. or i'm gonna have to reinstall it ASAP... i cant believe this happened..

thanks for any help in advance.

when u get to the startup menu there is a option: start in safe mode with networking
or something like that. If u r going to share internet access too with netbeui u cant. For that u have to use TCP/IP
and with TCP/IP u can share ur C drive too without netbeui. Ok if cant reversed what u did by the safe mode with network the last thing u can do if u make it is use the recovery disk, if u dont make it u have to Format the drive and install the OS again. Dont reinstall the OS over the existing because normaly u get a lot of problems. If u r smart make 2 partitions 1 for the OS and another for ur data or ur dat and the programs. That way u can format the OS partition without losing ur data.

Good Luck
