System Link Play in Xbox (UPDATED 2/21)

EDIT: I made a crossover cable and the 2 Xboxs are still not recognizing each other. Do they have to have the same BIOS version? One of the Xboxs has the Xbox Live stuff preinstalled while the other one doesn't. Will this make a difference?

I am trying to link 2 Xboxs together using a Cat5 cable for Halo.

I linked them then all, but the Xboxs don't recognize each other, saying there is no cable installed. Yet, when I use the same cable to hook up a computer to a router, it's fine.

What's going on?

You need a special crossover cable to connect two devices to each other.
