Hi all,

My trusty 1 1/2 year old system is getting its first hiccup.
Msi Neo F
Socket 939
3800
6600gt (Now 9800 flashed to 9800 pro)
1g 2x512 tccd samsung corsair

I have crashed 5 times today. Each time the screen goes black and that is it. No blue screen. Nothing. It just freezes. I just shut down and restart and everthing is fine. The only thing I changed was the video card about 3 weeks ago. But I had no problems running it though all the 3d mark tests.

I bought it as a 9800 pro and it turned out to be a 9800 that was flashed to pro.

Could this be the problem? Or any ideas. My gut is that the mobo is going bad.

i had almost exactly the same problem with my new 7900gt. tho i got a wierdish pixelated screen for about 2 secs then the monitor goes black and i have to force a shutdown. it happened to me intermitantly and often, also did not occur duing 3dmark tests. i thought it was the mobo as well, that or the gfx card. but i just replaced it and its running much better. seeing that its a 6600gt (same basic design as my card) i would say its likely ur gfx card. I cant be 100% sure about it being the gfx card because im still in the process of troubleshooting my own, but thats what ive found so far. good luck!
