System issues/boot up

Hey guys i just built my system with an ip35 e and an e8400 processor and when I boot it up I get an error that says cpu not workable or has been changed. Anyone have any ideas what is going on with it. System specs are as follows.

E8400 core 2 duo
8800 gts evga
2 x 2 gigs of ddr2 800 ram
Ip35 e
640 gig western digital hard drive
