System is too noisy, please help...

I just built my system a couple days back and this system is quite loud!

I listened to lots of users and got the enermax 430W PSU, and the Panaflow 120mm front case fan. Now i am also using a chassis fan (rear of case above heatsink) and it came with my Fong Kai case. Could that be the noisy one? Are there any quiet fans you recommend for back there? Any other suggestions to get this system as quiet as possible? I am using the heatsink supplied by AMD, but i doubt that's where all the noise is from.

I am afraid to disconnect the rear fan just to see if it's the noisy one. I don't want my system overheating.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

i assume you have athlon.. hmmm. well, open your case and unplug the rear fan. if it quiets down then thats ur problem!

Umm, just open the case and "ear-monitor" all fans to figure out the loudest...

Don't worry, your system won't burn to the ground if you pause one rear fan for a minute...😉

If you hold that fan in question and it quieets down then you can either replace it, or get some small O-rings and rubber mount it.

A 3 watt, 100ohm potentiometer wired in series between the power supply and fan is easier than running a 7volt switch and is more adjustable.
