System hangs....HELP!!!!

I'm helping out a buddy- he has a celery 300 on a abit mb. 64 megs ram... on boot up the system detects the HD and CDrom then the thing just hangs, won't even boot to a floppy... help?!

Try resetting the CMOS (take out the battery if you dont know the jumper) and then reboot...
 
Reseat everything especially video card. Try an old video card. Move ram slots. Temporarily take all drive cables out of the system. If it boots then, check drive settings in Bios and drive jumpers. Make sure cable connections aren't upside down.
