System Hangs....but mouse still moves

Does anyone else have the problem?
I have an Epox 8kta+ kt133 with tb 800.
Have latest bios and via drivers.
Using detonator 6.31.
This happens too often, both in Win98SE and WinME.
Im stumped..any ideas?

Are you overclocking CPU? Does VIO match the CPU voltage? Is the Vcore adjustment DIP SW in the default position? Power supply adequate? I hope these help.

Not to blame the MB, honestly I,m not, but I had to rma 3 of those things for misc. issues. Got one 6 months later on a combo deal and used the same hardware and it worked flawlessly. Go into safe mode and see if there is any harware conflicts or two of one device in the device manager. If not swap the video card. I also found that video cards and their drivers can have a lot to do with what you mentioned.
