Hi,

I'm just using Corsair force series 3 60 ssd.I have currently connected it to the sata 3 port with achi mode enabled. The problem is,my system hangs quiet frequently. When i connect the ssd to the sata 2 port its working fine.Any idea what might be the problem?

System Specs

Intel i7-950
Asus sabertooth x58

X58 doesn't have native SATA3 does it? If so you would probably be better off running on the SATA 2 ports anyway as the 3rd party controllers can be pains in the arse with this kind of problem.

If it makes you feel any better I doubt a 60gb SSD is going to saturate a SATA2 port anyway, it is the higher capacity drives that produce the really big bandwidth.

Uninstall intel ahci drivers, then reinstall? I had one system that puked out for some odd reason with those drivers. This fixed it.
