System Freezes up when burning cd @ 40x ?

Hi,

I am using Plexwriter 40X and I am using CD clone to burn cd to Cd.

Anyway, when burning, my machine would almost locks up. CD Clone would take as highh as 100% CPU utilization I am pretty sure this is not the case a few weeks ago when burning at 40x. I can still use my machine fine

I believe this is not application specific as this happen when I am burning with NERO as well.

Anyone else have this problem ? any suggested fix ?

Btw, I am using Athlon 1800+ XP, 512 RAM and 40GB drive..
