System freezes up often in ALL games! HELP !

Hi
I have Riva TNT 2 UTRLA, and 5ali61 chipset.

I installed the most recent drivers for the Ali chipset and Riva tnt 2 ultra card, but the system still freezes on all games.

I am getting detonator 3 from nvidia.com and ali driver from ali web site.

Also the agp apperture size in 32 and 64 freezes too.
What should i do ?

update drivers for everything. You havent posted enough info to help us troubleshoot.

i updated them with the newest drivers, but it is still the same.
The games freezes up.

let me guess....you are overclocking....if so then back it to the original speed and if that fixes it then you know what is the problem.

Do you have the latest BIOS for mobo? Also, which mobo is that on?

i'm not familiar with that ali chipset... is it Aladdin V? I had problems getting a geforce to run in socket7, maybe it's the same way with high end tnt2.... what cpu do you have, at what speed? Have you reseated the vid card to see if it wiggled loose? Have you flashed the motherboard bios? Is your case too hot (this would cause lockups under any heavy load, not just games)?

Also:
The detonator 3 drivers were never intended for the old TNT2Ultra.

Any driver beginning with 5.xx or 6.xx was made for Geforce and upwards.

That said, I agree that the issue is probably overclocking...
