System freezes every 15 sec after hibernating?

Hi all, quick question for you. Whenever I tell me system to hibernate, after I bring it back up it'll completely freeze for 3-5 sec every 15-20 sec thereafter. So I un-hibernate, and I'm working along merrily, and I'm frozen solid. During this time, my mouse(USB)/keyboard don't work. Bringing up task manager show my CPU usage spiking to 100% every time this happens. Anyone know why this would happen?

It used to be that, after hibernation, it would spike once about 5-10 seconds after being restored, and then would never happen again. Now, it continues to happen, rendering hibernation useless for me.

So.... anyone know how I might fix this? You all answered my vague and unspecificsystem crash question correctly; I'm hoping you can do the same here. I am running Win2K on the system you see in my sig.

Thanks much!

What BIOS revision do you have installed for the A7V133? Do you have all the service packs for Win2k as well? Hibernation is always so damn unreliable on certain KT133 systems combined with Win2k. Are you running @in2k Pro?

That is why I never use it and disable all power management functions . . . they are not yet ready for prime time.
