System freezes driving me nuts

At times my machine will just lock up, it's a hard freeze. There's no mouse movement and KB is unresponsive, I can't do anything to get it to respond. The only thing I can do is hold down the power button and shut it off. This happens regardless of whether I'm OCing or not, but almost every time the thing that triggers it is running a Youtube video while I'm tabbed out of a game. Everything will seem to be fine and then it's locked and there will be a buzzing sound like feedback. The only other time this happened was when I was burning a DVD with Nero and it froze half way through (I think there may have been a Youtube video paused in the background). I thought it might have been because I was running 10.3a Cata drivers, but it did it again after going to 10.4. Any ideas?

Latest Chrome
Latest Flash (tried both 10 and 10.1)

yeah, next time go with INTEL!!!

There could be anything going on. Assume that it is software. Try running YouTube in different browsers (presumably that's how you are running it).

In my experience, Alt-Tabbing out of games is just asking for problems. Most of the time they are fairly minor, like Texture Corruption or simply not being able to Alt-Tab back into the game successfully, but I gave up on doing it years ago.

That said, check the Caps on your Motherboard. Your Overclock may have caused damage.

By that logic he should go AMD next time, since it's the Intel chip causing issues.........

Does this happen with any broswer besides Chrome? I've personally had nothing but problems with Chrome, I tried it out several times on different computers since it's original release, even Internet Explorer is better in my opinion.

Figured it out (I think). It was a DVBlink conflict with Flash, looks like it was causing the Catalyst drivers to bug out. It's working properly now.
