ASUS A7N8X, AMD 2700+Thoroughbred, Ti 4200 and one temporary stick of PNY 512 pc2700.
Every time I reboot the computer, the speakers say "system failed memory test"?? The system seems to run fine after reboot. What could be causing that??
Thanks,
William

is the memory seated in properly? It may sound n00bish, but it happens. Just make sure its "clicked" in on both sides.

Download and run Memtest86 to make sure you don't have a bad strip of memory. I have had a couple of systems that would pass the memory test that is done at startup, seem to run fine, but crash when heavily loaded - all due to bad memory. Good luck.........................

I get this error sometimes, and I've even run Memtest for a LONG time (and selected all tests, even). A7N8X Deluxe 1.04 here... At least her voice isn't robotic or something. lol

Ok, my new Corsair XMS LLPT pc2700 Twin 512 TOTAL 1024 sticks arrived today.!! Was very excited, but sill no luck..."SYSTEM FAILED MEMORY TEST"
THEN IT BOOTS FROM OPERATING SYSTEM.??????
My new system is much better than the old one...but cant seem to run video games nearly as smooth as my 1GB T-bird with 512 ram
I used the same video card in both computers Ti 4200 128????? I just don't get it.New system Motherboard is A7N8X with 2700+ Throrughbred with a GB of corsair xms low latency...
What is wrong with my system??? Nothing is overclocked in either system. I know I need to find another cooling method for my chip, because I have been running the factory one and it runs about 60 C at stand still..That shouldn't cause detriment to gaming thought?
Help me Please.
Thanks,
William
