Every time i play pc games, after a while say 10-15mins my comp restarts on its own and says it has recovered from a error. rarely i have gotten it without playing games. My vid card grapfics are upto date. My system is a HP pavillion 810n.

this is the error, not sure what else you will need

"Error code 1000000a, parameter1 00000001, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 805418a1"

Product: Windows Operating System
Event ID: 1003
Source: System Error
Version: 5.2
Symbolic Name: ER_KRNLCRASH_LOG
Message: Error code %1, parameter1 %2, parameter2 %3, parameter3 %4, parameter4 %5.

It happens all the time, i jst backed up 30gigs of files and did system recovery advanced and it still didnt restore any problem.

I got 1gig of gaming memory, a nvidia gforce 5500 OC 256mb card (old, i know) amd athlon 64 3300 I never had this problem before till a month ago.

I cant reinstall windows since i have no disks from HP.

If theres anything specific you need let me know...and how to do it breifly if you could, thank you.

I should mention, ive gotten differant errors before. Ive also tried the stop restarting and memory dump stuff during errors and nothing works

It booteed to the bluescreen before it shutdown, and i noticed it said something about nv4.dll whcih would be a nvidia file?

From reading other posts around here, I think you can always call up HP and order a restore CD for your pc model.

If you think it might be drivers for your video card, I would suggest that you uninstall them, using something like Driver Cleaner, and then reinstall them. I also think it would be worthwhile to check out your ram. Run memtest and/or run it with only 1 stick at a time and see if the errors continue.

Do you know what your system and video card temps are before/during the error? You could try taking the side panel off the pc and pointing a house fan directly inside it (first, I would make sure that you clean out any dust so that you don't blow a mess around if you aren't into regular 'house keeping').
