system dumps the stack at boot...???

what does this usually mean? bad hdd? or memory? no viruses found, passed a scandisk. thanks

I assume you are running nt or 2000. I would put in the start up disks and do a repair installation. You can also do this from the cd.

i've had that happen and it was a sign of a bad memory chip. go to simmtester and grab the util there that checks your memory. run a burn in loop for a while and it should tell you if your memory is bad. it helped me find out what the problem was on my machine
