System crash in 8.1 after windows update.

Very odd to say the least.
I had 21 critical updates to install last night. Once installed I rebooted and the system froze.
Then it completely crashed and would not boot back up. Formatted and installed 8.1 again last night. Early this morning I did the updates.

Once I got to the latest 21 updates it did the exact same thing? D:

This time around I just manually rebooted and went into windows 8.1 safe mode and uninstalled the 21 updates and all is good now.

Couple of odd things I am running are ClassicShell and Win8 Gadgets. Other than them two everything is standard software.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?
