Faulk!@#!@#

is there anyway to bypass this piece of crap???

I have the version that came with partition commander 6 and now this thing won't load as I can't even get a chance to press F8 before this garbage loads itself. ARGH

Just moved the drive to another comp and deleted the damned "SC" drive, and this POS STILL loads, wtf....

Thanks........

is it entirely possible to DELETE this bastard without logging into windows? I've deleted the directory, yet its still there....

If not, is there ANY way to go straight to my windows bootup, bypassing this ?

I used it once a lomg time ago.
System Commander like all those sorts of proggy's writes it's own custom MBR.
If you lose or fail to make the boot floppy and something happens you're pretty much stuck with it.
You'll need to get a windows bootdisk and do fdisk /mbr for 98, or boot to the recovery console and run FIXBOOT and FIXMBR for 2K/XP.
Those proggy's are evil and a scourge on society.

Mom and Pop user don't know any better.
That's not entirely true. Mom and Pop do exactly what Dell or Gateway tell them and don't usually root around in the guts of their systems.
The people who get in trouble with stuff like that are those that take the advice of friends who think they know what their doing then disappear when the #$%& hits the fan.

System Commander has been on my system for 2 years, and there has never been any problems. If somebody wishes to install multiple operating systems, this program is as good or better than any other software available. The software guides you and even partitions your hard drive during setup. When the bootup screen appears, there are options to disable and remove the application. I've seen plenty of horrible programs on the market, but in my opinion, System Commander is not one of them.

Ironfor,

You should learn to use it before making any hasty judgement. I've been using SC for 3 years now and it has (and still is) worked like a champ with absolutely no problem.

Did you misspell my nick as a insult or what?

I didn't intend to run System commander, this junk was installed for me when I used PARTITION COMMANDER.

It DEFINITELY had no onscreen option for me to disable it when I ran, I DO NOT need a program to manage partitions/diff. OS's, I can handle that fine manually.

When it installs this junk THAT I DIDN"T WANT INSTALLED, it is junk software in my book. THERE WERE NO PROMPTS asking me if I wanted System Comm.

IronFar, no insult intended, just a typo.

I've used Partition commander in the past and I don't recall being force to install SC.

So you must consider many of the MS apps that gets installed with your OS junk too then?

I have no love for the many MS apps that are preinstalled, but at least they don't obstruct me from doing the things I need to do - like P commander/SC did in this instance.
