System Building Question

Hey, I finally got all my parts, and I'm putting together my system. Got HSF on fine now, but I have a question about connecting the front panel switches and indicators (power, HDD LED, Reset, etc). I can't tell what polarity to attach the wires with. HDD LED for instance, has two wires, one has a little > on it (on the plastic connector part). Is it conventional for this to be + or -? Since its an Light Emitting DIODE, the polarity matters. Some of the Mobo pins are labeled +. I don't want to do trial and error until I figure it out. Thanks

trial and error really isn't THAT bad. your power and reset switches can go either way. then if you boot up and don't see LED's, just shut the box off, switch 'em up, and you're golden

i think i saw someone post once which polarity is actually which color...but then again, it varies somewhat by case...

in my experience when i am building computers - i do it for a living i just power up the system and plug the little fellers in till i get what i want the voltages are sooo small they aint gunna blow - the reset switch is the same but you have to press it to test it - just my opinion and its always worked for me
