Refurbished MSI parts are better than PC Chips parts any day.

I recommended the 40GB drive because I was keeping it within budget. You could get an 80GB drive with an 8MB cache for another $10. You could get a better CPU for $4. You could get a DVD burner instead of a CDR/DVD combo for another $15. I stayed in budget, though. I met all the requirements the guy had, and I did it with quality parts. I also did it with a nice-looking case and 512MB of Corsair instead of an ugly case and 256MB of Rosewill memory. Yeah, you tell me how great a Duron with 128K cache is on a PC Chips KT266A board compared to a modern Sempron on an MSI KM400 board.

All that, and mine was a few bucks less.

Put up or shut up troll

Do I need to point out why that's such an obvious lie?

The only parts you've bought this year are the PC Chips board, a Duron 1.6, memory, and a burner.

And you're saying you've built all the systems you listed? Care to revise that statement just yet?

Let's take a quick look at your Ultimate Gamming System. :) Where's your invoice for any of those parts?

A Radeon X850 Pro? When did you buy that? That card just came out how long ago? Barely two months ago? Yet you haven't purchased any video cards this year on your NewEgg account. Maybe you used a different account. :) Oh, I know: You bought it somewhere else, right?

Good job proving that you're totally full of crap.

I concur with most of what you said.

Trolls,

I buy parts all over the place. Not just newegg.

I also have a side business where people buy the parts and I put them together for them for a fee.

Seriously, you are getting utterly annoying by trying to get the last word in constantly.
You can criticize my spelling my choices whatever... If you have anything valuable please do so, otherwise you're only trying to instigate an arguement.

Put up or shut up

Imagine that!

I suppose you don't actually have any invoices for any of the places you bought the rest of the parts, right?

I mean, come on! That's over $3,000 in parts for those systems you listed. It's pretty hard to believe that NewEgg didn't have the best price on anything except $270 of it -- just the PC Chips board, Duron, some memory, and one burner!

Seriously, NewEgg has always had the best price on that burner. Why did you only buy it from NewEgg once?

It's also pretty funny that you always link to NewEgg yet now claim to rarely buy from them.

You're the one who needs to put up or shut up. You made an enormous mistake by lying and saying that you've actually built every system you listed. Now prove it. You're smart enough to take screenshots of your NewEgg invoice. Now let's see some screenshots of the other ones.

Of course you can't, because they don't exist.

Lets see you put up some proof on your systems.

Now I know you don't have any invoices of your own to show do you? Can you prove to anyone here you know anything about what you're talking about? Especially since you recommended REFURBISHED parts, AND you recommended paying $50.00 for a 40GB HD.

So how many REFURBISHED systems have you built? Where are you invoices?

So I'm assuming you think it's in everyone's best interest to pay almost $1.10 a GB for a hard drive? You really know what you're talking about.

Next time you try to troll try not to put your foot in your mouth before you start. Then it won't be so easy to bring you back down.

Bottom line is you're here in my thread because you dont have the balls to come up with anything on your own.

i think what ppl are trying to say (at least me)...was your guide sucks. No one cares if you build computers on the side...probably half senior and up members here do. And it doesn't matter if you've built all these systems too, doesn't change the fact that your recommending old crappy parts (sorry that was a generalization).

No. See, you're the one who lied and claimed you've built every system you recommended, therefore you're the one who needs to prove it. I never made any such claim.

I have NewEgg invoices going back to 2001. If there's something in particular that I claimed I bought, I suppose I can prove it.

Also, I find it really funny that you would keep giving me a hard time for recommending a 40GB drive. A guy who recommends a Duron and a PC Chips board is giving me a hard time about a 40GB drive! That 40GB drive allowed me to actually stay in budget and add 512MB RAM, and even use name-brand parts for everything. The Sempron system I recommended was much better than the all-generic Duron with 256MB that you recommended, and there's really no arguing against it.

On the budget, if you exchange the A64 with an AXP and put a 6200/9500 whatever that would be alot better. MX4000 sucks big time
