Hey guys, would really appreciate any opinions on these components I've selected for a new pc. I'm trying to not spend too much as I've recently moved to London from Australia, leaving behind there a perfectly kitted out pc (wouldn't fit in my backpack ;) ). This pc will primarily be used for internet and movie/digital tv watching with maybe a limited amount of gaming if I find a game that interests me enough. I'm a bit unsure on my selections for the vidcard (overkill?), the monitor and the case (could get another Antec w/ a PSU for same price). Anyway, thanks for any advice, on with the list:

CPU
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ (San Diego)
[ADA3700BNBOX]

Mobo
MSI K8N Neo4-F
[K8NNEO4-F]

Vidcard
Inno3D GeForce 6800 GT (PCI-E)
[I-PX6800GT-G5G3S]

Monitor
Samsung SM940B 19" LCD
[LS19HABTSQ]

Case
Antec Super LANBOY
[761345-08005-7]

PSU
Tagan Black Series TG380-U01 (380W)
[TG380-U01]

HDD
Western Digital Caviar SE 250GB (16MB/SATA II)
[WD2500KS]

RAM
Corsair Value Select 1GB PC3200 Kit (2x184 Pin DIMM)
[VS1GBKIT400]

Optical Drive
Sony Dual Layer 16X DVD +/-R/RW Ram
[DWG-120AB2]

Cheers,
Dan.

I would change that motherboard to Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 that are updateable to socket 940/AM2.

PSU: Forton 400watts would do better
DVD Burner- NEC ND-4570 is cheaper than that Sony dvd burner.

Upgradeability is not so much of a concern as I'll probably sell the pc before I return to Australia in a year or two, unless I can ship it back for a reasonable price. The place I'm buying the gear from doesn't stock too many brandname PSU's so I'll have to stick with the Tagan. It appears that the Sony burner is priced the same as the NEC. Thanks for the response.

Na, not really that way inclined :)

the 7600gt is much cheaper, and faster than a 6800gt.
The cheapest 6800GT is the same price here in the UK as the cheapest 7600GT, around 130 pounds (both Inno3D). I was under the impression they were about on par in performance with the 6800GT being the best choice, is that wrong...?

i would change:

from 6800GT to a 7600GT - faster and cheaper/newer technology
from a 3700+ to a 3200+ - no need for that minor extra speed...unless you need it
from the sony burner to an NEC burner - cheaper and definitely more reliable (i have a 3550A and it works perfectly and no coasters at all)
case is your own preference...
mobowise...i dunno. i would say asus, but thats just me.
