System Boot Failure

i am attempting to reformat a friends HD on his comp.

I downloaded an ISO copy of WinXP SP2 and burned it on a cd.
now when i reboot, the system fails to boot from the cd even w/ the correct Boot Order.

i made a boot floppy from windows and had the system boot from it but it just goes to command propt and stays in A: directory.

is there a certain command to boot from the disk?

i also attempted to make a boot cd in nero but that failed.

I'm not too familiar with the forum rules but I would imagine that you are not supposed to be posting about XP iso's that you've downloaded. Regardless, my first instinct tells me the iso file is at fault or your burn didn't go over very well. I suggest acquiring a legitimet copy of windows and test to see if it is your burned disk.
