SYSMark results: is a bigger number better?

How do you interpret SYSMark 2002 results as shown in the Motherboard reviews? Is a bigger number better? I spent 1/2 hour poking around here and at Bapco trying to answer this most basic question. Is it to much to expect the graph to identify how the scale works?
