Onvia has SysLink Model # EZXS55W for $55 shipped.

It is an EtherFast 5 Port 10/100 Switch. I know you can use this to share Calbe/DSL connection and to set up a basic LAN.

Anyone have any luck with this Switch? Or should someone spend $100 more to get the Netgear RT314 ??

Thanks

I picked this switch up a month ago in order to take advantage of the deal that was going on for a couple months (was lucky enough to snag the onvia-usa coupon when it was available):

LinkSys #EZXS55W 5 Port Switch: $55
Onvia Coupon and LinkSys Rebate: - 45
----
Total: $ 15 + free shipping

Was a great deal, too bad you missed it.
It was posted on Anandtech for the longest time...

g'luck finding a better deal!

I did get that one for nearly free (after rebates and pm from Staples B&M) some month ago too.
The switch is really good and very reliable.
It is quite small (in case of Staples website: the picture is wrong/old one) and consumes little power AND has an uplink port.

But it is "limited" good for sharing a Calbe/DSL connection, as each NIC's address is reported to the modem.

For that you should look for one of the combined firewalls and switches.

It is very good however for LAN, never had problems with it, and the latency is extremly low too.
