I am thinking of buying a new comp from Sys Technology. They made it into the top 10 of PC World and have great prices. I was just wondering if any one has had any good or bad experinces with Sys.
Is it worth holding out for the Thunderbird? Or is the 1k Athalon good enough?
I checked their BBB record and all is clean.

They have a fairly decent Reseller Rating (at 5.1/7.0) but other than that I've never heard of this company.

When you ask if you should wait for the Thunderbird or go with the 1Ghz Athlon, is the system you are looking at a SlotA Athlon? If not, and it is a Socket A, then it is already a Thunderbird, since TBird was just a code name for the newer revision of the Athlon. If you mean should you wait for the 133Mhz/DDR Athlons, then that's entirely up to you, since you'll end up with a longer upgrade lifespan, but as of right now you won't see much of an improvement in speed over the 100Mhz systems currently available.
