i have a SYS lcd monitor. It does not power up, and the lcd in fron t does not even light up. help?

sounds like the transformer blew out, probably a bad monitor now 🙁

Sounds like it isn't getting power for some reason. Is there a fuse that you can check/replace? Basically, if it isn't a fuse or an external power issue, then it's broken. Probably not much you can do except replace or have it serviced.

I had a NEC do that, bad controller board in my case.

Probably a bad transformer. Is the transformer inside the monitor case, or outside? If its outside then you can easily test it out, and make sure its putting out the correct voltage using a multimeter. You can also swap it for antoher one if possible. If the transformer is inside the monitor case, then its a lot more difficult. How old is it?
