Syriana or Ultraviolet

I've only seen Ultraviolet.

It was cheesy comic book action, but I was entertained. Not great, but quite watchable. It's by the director of Equilibrium, but Equilibrium was much better.

I found Syriana a little tough to follow. Skipped around too much. There were some interesting scenes, and the general feeling / message of the movie was conveyed by the end, but I didn't really enjoy the journey.

syriana was disappointing. it was a cliche for the evils of cheap oil. nothing happened that wasn't supposed to happen.

i was expecting Crash. Syriana had the potential to do the same with the ME, since it's a haven for unexpected consequences of foreign policy.

i'd rather see a pointless movie like ultraviolet.

Ultraviolet is just pointless action filled with plot gaps and retarded dialogue. I'd avoid unless you really liked the action in equilibrium

Ultraviolet provides the action that syriana is missing, Syriana provides the storyline that Ultraviolet is missing. tough call.
