I have a SANS Digital system operating in RAID 5, currently conncted to a computer as an external (USB) connection. This volume is made available as a network storage to the other devices in my home network.
The specs are:

I have just purchased a Synology DS212J NAS server (specs below) which I will receive soon.

Anyone well versed with the SYNOLOGY DS212J know if I do connect the SANS DIGITAL system to the SYNOLOGY NAS via external USB solution, would I be able to enable that volume to be available as a network storage to other devices in my home network ? In other words, does the SYNOLOGY firmware support such an option ?
Thanks
