Hell yes.

Unfortunately for me though, I'm running a MacBook Pro and a Vista desktop. I shouldn't run Synergy over the network since it's vulnerable to packet sniffing and everything is in cleartext. I was going to do a private network over Firewire, but stupid Microsoft killed Firewire over IP in Vista.

I tried doing a PAN over bluetooth, but the MBP doesn't support it with other computers, only phones.

I then tried an ad-hoc network with WPA2, but the MBP doesn't support WPA2 with ad-hoc, only WEP.

I basically got screwed, sucked it up, and now I type passwords directly on the laptop :)

Yeah, it's awesome. Have been using it for a few years.

Thought about having the client(s) connect via SSH?

I tried to get it to work a few months ago.

If it was a bit easier to get working, maybe it would be cool but I never got the damn thing to work.

I think a Linux geek wrote it because it is so user unfriendly.

No no, it's for any combination of computers. Win+Win, Mac+Win, Mac+Mac, Linux+Linux, Linux+Win...

I definitely contemplated it, but setting up an SSH server was more configuration than I was willing to deal with.

Cygwin and opensshd on Vista scares me... that and I'm lazy :)
