$305.00 before rebate ... still a great deal. Although, the only 65Hz at 16x12 worries me. If I can't get at least 75Hz at 16x12, my eyes start to hurt.
If you look through old threads, you can get (I *think* this still applies) that monitor for ~$257 from Onvia. I did that and I got it. A little eyestrain but I don't go to high resolutions anyway.
Not good enough. I'll pay the extra money. "A little eyestrain" is all it takes to ruin your eyesight. I have better than 20/20 vision despite being a computer geek and avid reader. I'm not going to blow it on a sub-par display.
Don't forget guys the grill on this monitor (and the 755DF for that matter) is 0.20mm. Try finding that on any other 19" or 17". I would not call this monitor "sub-par" by any means.
Well, is the grill (or grille) the same as horizontal dot pitch which is 0.20 mm? I guess Samsung is doing what Hitachi did with their 751, quoting misleading figures that make them look good.
If you try reading at 1600X1200 on a 19" you'll go blind no matter what refresh rate you're getting. I have this monitor and I run it at 11x8. I would try 1280x1024 but that's pushing it a little also. I think at 11x8 it's 85hz. Good enough for me.
I have to disagree. I have a 19" Samsung SyncMaster 900P running 16x12x32bit at 72Hz, and it's fine. But like I said earlier ... my eyes are better than most.
