Is there a way to synch specific contacts (e.g. if they are in a specific category) between outlook folders?

We have a public folder for contacts at work and I share many of those contacts, a lot of contacts that I make would also be work contacts ...
Is there any way to synch those contacts between my personal contacts folder and the public folder?
