Hello ya all. My aunt's a travel agent and she spoke with her client, as it turns out the client's travelling to Rochester, NY which brings my aunt to speak about me attending RIT at Rochester, NY. And from there he offered me an internship. How cool is that? Now I have to get my resume all ready and sumbitted by tomorrow sometime. I'm just excited that something like this is being offered.

Have you had an experience like this in the past?

Speak up...

My friend worked there for the summer 2 years ago. He had a blast, and learned a lot.

Internships rock... even unpaid ones. Do as many as possible while you're in college. Big companies love to see that stuff on your resume - real work experience.

Hah, I am not much of a programmer, but I have no idea... Hmmies. We shall see. Maybe I'll spill the beans on them unless I have to sign an NON-DISCLOSURE Contract.

Maybe you'll get to work in the dank basement where Symantec makes all those viruses.

No. I am in college, I attend RIT. In that case I guess it'll be more like a co-op experience than an internship, but neither of them does matters IMO, it's the experience that counts the most.

Ok, i'm at RIT too. I misunderstood and thought youe were going to be attending here.

Is this supposed to be a paid or unpaid internship? RIT will not give you co-op credit unless it is paid experience.

After speaking with my chairperson, she said that RIT will accept this as a work experience as long it's in my major field and approixmately 3 months of working experience. Now, I have no friggin idea if this would be a paid work experience or not. But in terms of working for a company like this would look great on any future resume. Oh nice to know you attend RIT. I live at building 28, DSP Floor.

BTW, any chnace you're the one that runs a Lan Party Group here?

You have to ok the co-op with your department AND fill out a form with the co-op office. Their requirement is that it must be paid to count as a co-op block. If you haggle with them, you might get them to waive it.

I don't run any of the lan groups. Most of the flyers I've seen around for them have an email address though.

Yea, thanks for the tip tho, I just wondered cuz your last name is Morgan so I know one Morgan who runs a Lan Party Group other than RITFest. I'll just HaGgLe my dept over this if I do get accepted. We'll see.
