Symantec Corporate AV License

How long are the licenses good for? We have 150 of them and I am wondering if they expire, or if only the support for Corporate AV expires? Can we use them for ever? If not, where can I find comparisons of corporate a/v suites? Recommendations?
 
I'm not sure about Symantec but we use McAfee Enterprise Edition at work and when its installed we have an option to set the license to "Perpetual mode." I haven't come across any of our servers or desktops being prompted by McAfee to renew our license which happens with the consumer versions. We've been using McAfee for years as well and as such we always get the latest versions from McAfee.
 
What version of SAV do you have? I think they still provide definitions for 8 and up, even though version 11 is out. However version 11 is a nightmare, do not buy it without looking at the symantec forums and thousands of people who have already suffered. Me included.

Anyway i'm sure support for 8 will stop soon enough, but 9 and 10 probably have a while to go.

 
We're still using 10.something. I was just making sure we are still legal, I needed to know if Symantec was a yearly license or a one time license good until they stop providing def's for it.
 
i always thought you had to have a subscription for your server's defs to push down to the clients.

i think it works that way with trend micro officescan
