I have some info on that Sylvania 17" 25dpi monitor:
After giving some specs to a friend who was looking for a nice, inexpensive 17", he just purchased this one from Costco. I just literally finished setting it up for him on his new homebuilt. It's a nice monitor, text and images seemed very clear and the glass is truly flat (well, guess you would expect this right!). Pretty standard footprint size for a 17", nice digital controls on the front. One thing I noticed though was that Win XP recognizes it as just a standard 'plug and play' monitor. The driver disk which is included doesn't seem to load the correct driver, I don't think there is an XP driver on it. Not much of a problem, the correct driver is probably waiting for me to download it on the Sylvania website...gotta go.
Oh but anyway, This is a good deal on a nice flat screen 17" monitor if your looking for one. I believe it has a 85Hz @ 1024x768 and a max res. of 1280x1024.
