Sylvania 32" TV at Sears - $249 - 02/14/04(only)

bestbuy has what looks to be the same tv for 269 delivered
linky

they have different part-numbers, but i'm pretty sure that's sears way of saying
"we'll price match any other store" and then when you get there they say "oh, the part-number is different, so we won't"

$20 shipping for 113lbs, up 3 levels of stairs (for me) -- seems to be a deal
(but i'm still shopping....)

I used to work in retail and I had a repair business where I had to get parts for these things. It seems that Sears and Best Buy and everyone else out there can buy from these different sources but the part numbes are different right from the factory and there are slight differences in the units sold to one store or the other.

Seems this makes things easier for those who have the clout and more complicated for those of us don't. It seems to go way beyond the Sears or Best Buy people but they all benifit from it.
