Sygate, is it really keeping my ISP from seeing my other comps?

Probably just being a little paranoid but do NAT's & Proxy's like Sygate really keep your other comps invisible from your ISP?

Just seems to good to be true to have that much access & your ISP not knowing your doing it.

I would just hate to get a notice from my ISP stating that I owe them a crapload of money for using multiple comps off of 1 IP adress.

Hello Toro ,

I use SyGate too , and I believe that your ISP can't in any possible way see other comps , because they are on diffrent Workgroup and subnet (mine at least) ... and if you use dsl or even dial-up, it shouldn't worry ISP, how many comps share your connection, because they all still share your bandwidth, and they don't take extra.

Bye.

They can find out if they really want to... There are known ways to check if multiple machines are sharing 1 IP... However they won't go through the trouble of doing it as long as you don't use up too much bandwidth and slow down their network...

I'm using cable & they charge an extra $5.00 per IP.Just wondering if anyone has ever had them find out. Would using zone alarm along with Sygates built in security do any good?

Toro:)
