Syberia gives me problems!

Was reading games for 2004 thread.

I have Syberia the game, but when I play, the character heroine motions are really really really super slow. Everything else is normal. It is irritating, and I uninstalled the game after 5 mins.

Anybody had this problem? How did you solve it?

Syberia should not tax your system. I played the game with no problems using GForce 2 vid card. Try a reload and see if this improves the game play. Also is there a setting for "always run"? It seems to me this solved the slowness problem.

Duh... I remember now you do have set the "always run" feature to have the heroine move faster.

Found that the game had problems with hyperthreading. Downloaded a patch and worked like a charm. Finally I can start playing!

Syberia was decent. Graphics was superb, but story (much too short) and the puzzles (either they were too easy or too hard... and many just weren't that intuitive) were just ok imo. If you want a really good adventure game, with an excellent story and awesome puzzles (and a longer game as well), try The Longest Journey. Simply one of my favorite games of all time.
