SXGA+ vs UXGA

Which would you guys prefer on a 15" laptop powered by a mobile Radeon 9600? Now running in native resolution is going to be ideal, and I've heard this is also true for games (or at least near the native resolution for optimal picture quality), but the 1600x1200 of UXGA is a little demanding of a 9600 on newer games but should be fine for most of the games I play today (mostly Tribes 2 and JKII). This would be my first time with a laptop of my own and I'm just wondering what some other experiences are, 1600x1200 seems a little intimidating for a 15" laptop but UXGA is still very attractive...

I have a D800 on the way with a 15.4 WUXGA screen, and I am concerned about the 1,920 by 1,200 resolution myself.
