Hi. Can a 64MB Radeon 9000 Mobility handle games at 1400x1050, or do you need to lower the resolution to something like 1024x768 to get playable framerates? (Specifically, I'm interested in Counter-Strike, Warcraft III, and Unreal Tournament 2004)

Counter Strike should work fine, after all, it's a mod for a 5+ year old game.

Anything halfdecently modern(WC3 and UT2004), just forget about it, be happy if they play at all.
A Radeon 9000 is an utterly abysmal performer when it comes to gaming, can't say I know what the difference is between a mobility and a "vanilla" one, but if anything, the mobility is probably even weaker than the regular one(they pretty much always are).

That's what I suspected. Oh well, Counter Strike still amuses me.

UT2004 probably needs to run at 640x480, or at most 800x600. The mobility 9000 is not really fast enough to play modern games at higher resolutions than that. Check the "Mobile" tab at the top of this page for some disappointing benchmarks.
