SX1030b humming noise while systems off?

I have my SX1030b connected to a surgemaster console. After I flip the power switch on (just enables power to this port on the surge) I get a noticable humming noise until I power on the computer. I think everything is connected properly inside. My other case, Inwin 500 and this same board, didn't do this. Any thoughts why?

I'd check that your speaker jacks are properly inserted. Check the actual female contacts at the inside the case at the sound card. I had to bend one of the spring contacts at the card to assure firm contact between jack and receptacle. Poor contact can establish an AC circuit loop through your PC speakers.

Hope this helps!

dunkster,

I pulled all motherboard cables (speaker, hd, reset & led) except the power on switch lead. Powered off the computer and listened...DO! Still hearing that faint humming noise. I also unplugged powersupply 3pin to motherboard lead. No difference. Any other ideas?
